1. When you first enter a Select An Option window will appear.
Select ADD.
2. In the Freight Class ID field enter a unique alphanumeric identifier up to two digits in length that will be used to identify the freight class in the system (i.e.: 01).
3. A Select A Service window will appear:
Scroll to the service carrier you wish to select (i.e. UPS) and press Enter to confirm your selection. Or, select EXIT to return to the Select An Option window.
4. In the Next Day Service Class Name field enter the description for the service as provided by the next day freight carrier. Press Enter to continue.
5. In the Service Type Code field enter the service type code used by your provider for that service as provided by the next day freight carrier.
6. At the Service Class Code field, enter the service type code. This is used to indicate whether the shipment is residential or commercial.
7. Enter the shipper release code in the Signature Release field. This code denotes whether the carrier is allowed to deliver without a signature.
8. In the Carrier Collect Freight field, enter Y (Y=yes) if the carrier will collect freight charges in addition to the COD amount; enter N (N=no) if the carrier will not collect freight charges.
9. In the Declared Value field enter the declared value for shipments for this freight class (i.e. 100%).
10. Command options will appear:
Select Add.
The freight class has now been added.
